Join me in imagining and building a city for the future not the past!

Current city leadership lacks vision and ambition to put forward a transportation policy that supports active transportation modes such as walking, biking and using public transportation. The city continues to spend a major portion of its budget on projects that increase traffic causing more pollution, noise and putting our community at serious risk of injury or death.

People who can’t or don’t want to drive deserve a city that treats them with dignity and respect. Too often the city puts our most vulnerable population in danger by encouraging fast and reckless driving and diverting motorist off state highways and onto local streets. On average over 40 people are killed or seriously injured due to traffic violence, this must stop and if elected I intend to implement policies that will achieve that goal.

Electronic bikes, scooters and other devices are allowing people to get where they need to go without owning a car; however, the city is not building the infrastructure to keep up with this drastic technological change .

By harnessing our geography and topography as well as existing infrastructure such as the Duwamish and Interurban Trail and robust public transportation options such as the Sounder we can build a network that encourages and supports active transportation, improving mobility and our quality of life.
